Joshua Tree National Park Williams AZ to Big Bear via Joshua Tree

Coming from Grand Canyon (from overnight in Williams) to Big Bear Lake and looking for a good stop-off point. Thought Joshua Tree area would be good. Anyone got any particularly good recommendations. Somewhere with a bit of comfort if possible but its just for one night. 4 adults and 3 kids under 11 yrs. thanks for any ideas.

are you camping or motelling? We stayed in Palm Springs (or one of its associated cities) which was about 90 minutes from Joshua Tree NP.

I'm assuming you are taking the 10 Highway? If you are looking for lodging then Palm Springs would probably be your best bet. There are RV parks there too, however the only camping is in nearby La Quinta at Lake Cahuilla County Park.
