A trio of us will be in Phangan in August.
have read postings abt Angthong but most depart from Samui. was wondering if there are trips from Phangan to Angthong marine park? if there are, how much do they charge? is the trip better from Samui compared to from Phangan? how long would the trip be? would like to avoid stopping at Samui as we are going to Koh Tao after Phangan. thanks. |

Mai pen Rai Bungalows do private Boat charter around the island and boat Trips aboard “Orion” to Angthong National Marine Park, and Koh Tao.I'm sure other places can arrange trips too.Check www.sawadee.com/hotel/kohphangan/maipenrai/pictures.html :)

You can ask any of the speedboat or even longtail boat drivers if they will take you to Ang Thong. My friend Dao does a tantra yoga/fishing/camping retreat on Ang Thong, via longtail boat from Thong Nai Pan Yai. It is 4000b/person or so, for 2 days. You might also try going with the divers' boats as they often stop by there.
