Ephesus Tours of Ephesus

Seeing Ephesus will be a dream come true for us. My wife has limited mobility. She doesn't need a wheelchair and does well with a cane. Is she going to be able to see many of the sites? Are there any tour guides that you can recommend?

Thanks so much.

Will be able to see them all, fairly flat all the way around and they have just unearthed a gladiator graveyard.Tour guides will assail you at the entrance, they are all registered so all much the same.

I strongly recommend you to have a private tour to Ephesus, where your tour guide can take to walk slowly through the ancient site..

I would say she will do fine with a cane. You can more or less find a place to sit down and rest every where. A few places you have to walk up some steps -of the main path/road- to see more. A third of the main path/road is upwards but it is a "slow" hill.

There is an entrance at the top too so if you don't feel for walking all the way back (down) you can take a taxi from there and back. Not sure how much a "de-tour" that trip will be, but not too expensive. Do remember to look back and down at Epesus while you walk there in case you take the taxi back. It is a nice view.
....or maybe hear with the guide if you can start at the top and walk downwards. Don't think that would be any problem. Taxis have a stop at main gate, or is easily ordered there from Selcuk by the guide.
