Just wondering....Is the Cocoon Hotel & Lounge conveniently located for Carnaval in Salvador? We don't want to be in the middle of no where.

It's kind of on the northern side of town. You'd be taking taxis a lot to get to the closest Carnaval circuit in Barra/Ondina. Might be better to look in Porto da Barra or Pelourinho, the two main tourist neighborhoods, if you want to be closer to the main locations of the festivities.

Hello,
there are 2 major circuitos; 1 compo grande 2 barra -ondina 3 pelourinho nr 2 is the most tourist one. this because of barra. please be careful to choise your accomodation. if you choise a hotel directly on the circuito i am sure you will not sleep during the night and day. noise. Also not to far; going to cost you a fortune on taxi fares ( and it is not wise to walk with a lot of money those days. if you want we can sent some info about apartments in barra or ondina.
