well, I'll try my best to answer your question.
mostly, people go to huangshan from hangzhou by bus. the price is about 10USD. it will cost you 3.5-4 hours to get there. you can take bus at hangzhou west bus station. there is 5 buses per day: 07:20am 09:30am 12:00pm 2:10pm 3:10pm.
there is a hostel in huangshan. the address: no.58 beihai road Tunxi district huangshan city. it is about 100 meters from the bus station. the price: single room-13USD, double room-13USD.
here is a map: http://www.hostelcn.com/upfiles/2005081113180493.jpg

have a nice trip.

Best would be to take bus from Hangzhou West long-distance bus station to Huangshan.
Are you looking for accommodation in the summit area, at Tangkou (village at foot of mountain) or Tunxi aka Huangshan City (where the train and long-distance bus stations are, about 1.5h from the mountain itself)?
