| Distrito de Beja | Crossing the border Posted: Sat May 5, 2007 01:25 PM UTC
Hi,
I'm gonna spend some time in the very center of the province of Huelva in Spain and I'd like to explore the interior land of the Districts of Beja and Faro in Portugal. The thing is that I find interesting to cross the border not through the classical routes (Rosal and Ayamonte). Anyone knows if this is possible? Any sugestions in this area of Portugal? Thanks /Gracias / Obrigado |

Hi!
From memory, I think that there are fishermen in the village of Alcoutim on the Guadiana who can take you across provided you are only on foot. Otherwise I do not think there are any other crossing apart from Ayamonte and Rosal.
