My husband and I are going to Newfoundland August 2 to the 7th for our 20th anniversary we plan on staying two nights in St Johns we have accommodations for both nights at The Battery we plan on taking a walk and checking out Signal Hill then going out for a nice dinner that night can you recommend any nice restaurants for us. On our second day we plan on driving and checking out some sights first we want to go to Cape Spear then drive down to Chances Cove then Cape Race, then on Friday night we are doing the George Street. Then on to Hodges Cove for a night from there we will be driving to Bay De Verde and spending the night. Monday is our last day there and I can’t for the life of me figure out what else to do I don’t want to go back to St Johns because we were there for two days. Can anyone please help me with planning our last day what are some really must see’s and do’s we are a couple that loves to party and I so want this vacation to be one we will always remember any help will be appreciated. Also we need to be in St Johns Tuesday morning to fly home.

I spent a week in St. Johns in August or 2000, I really liked the city. There is quite a bit to see and do. I can recommend going to a few pubs and catching some music. Often there are touristy pubs that have bands more well known in the area. But often people just turn up with and instrument and start playing. It's a great vibe! I found the people there to be the reason for going they are warm, friendly and out going. Happy Anniversary!
