Bugibba Travel Forum

Hello, we are planning a 3 week holiday to Malta and are thinking of staying at the Porto Azzuro Aparthotel in Xemxija Bay near St.Pauls. Prices look good there but we are a little concerned that we'll crack up at night as there doesnt seem to be any bars/nightclubs nearby? Does anyone know how much taxis cost to get to Bugibba or even down to Paceville? I read somewhere that Bugibba is only 2km away from Xemxija Bay, is that true?...could walk therre then I guess (but maybe not back...lol)
We're also wondering about drink prices for local Maltese spirits, beer and wine (does Malta make wine???!) Any info would be appreciated...thanks!

Yes just the other side of the bay,lots of bars in Bugibba,unsure of ST.Paul's,check my malta page for buses they are cheap and with a weekly ticket you can visit the whole island as well.On my sports pages the first entry gives you some maps click on North West and you can see a map of the area.
Maltese wine is good called(Lachrymal)or something like that.Local beers good also,a friend of mine set up the brewery,unsure of current prices but they were cheaper.

that hotel is really good maybe there are about 2 or 3 bars there is also a disco called Beachhaven well obviously Bugibba is packed with bars etc. but your hotel has a bar (prices abit epxenisve though) and also a disco there is also a bar called Sammy's tavern up the road from your hotel

to go to bugibba u can walk it its not that long but at night its a bit tiring maybe !!
