Mobile Phones/UK Sim cards

How is the cell phone reception in Oxford. Are there certain networks that have better reception/coverage than others. Does it matter which "company" I buy my sim card from? It seems like "mobile world" has the best deals for UK sim cards, but how is the coverage using mobile world at oxford?

It's not one of the most common networks in the Uk (O2, Orange, Vodaphone, T-mobile etc) so I have no personal experience of reception in Oxford.
