I'm trying to plan a trip from Liviv to Chernivstsi, and would like to know what bus companies go, at what hours, and how good is the service. Better than the train?
The same for Chernivtsi on to Suceava and/or Chisnau. Thank you for any information, Jack |

From Lviv to Chernivtsi it's about 8 hours by bus, the service is frequent. There are several buses per day from Chernivtsi to Chisinau as well, taking about the same 8 hours.

Lviv - Chernivtsi daily overnight train 21.40 at Chernivtsi - 8.43 next day.
And Lviv-Chernivtsi daily noon train 11.22 - 17.40. Only 6 hours. Less than in bus. I advice you to choose train because schedule of buses is not uncomfortable Regarding Chernivtsi-Chisinau. No trains in this direction. Buses started at 02:00 07:35 10:00 12:00 14:10 20:45. Around 10 hours by bus.

There is an early morning bus service out of Chernivtsi to Suceava - gets into Suceava around 11.30. Last summer this was the only bus service each day. People will ask you to take cigs over the border for them. As borders go this one is a breeze - fairly quick and no problems
