Hi fellow vt'ers
i am going to Dahab in Nov with my fiance. We are uk citizens and want to know if we need a tourist visa. I have read that you dont need one if you are staying in Sharm El Sheikh or scuba diving in the surrounding area. I know Dahab is about an hour from Sharm so wondered whether we would need one! No visa needed if staying within the area from Sharm to Taba including Dahab, St Catherine and Nuweiba, and if staying less than 15 nights.

just make sure on entering the airport terminal in sharm el sheik that you specify that you only want a sinai visa for 2 weeks otherwise they steer you towards the counter where you have to pay for a full egyptian visa. just walk straight to the passport control (to the right upon entering the terminal). enjoy dahab.
