The hotels run from about $25.00 per night per person and up. Remember, you get what you pay for. Rosarito is a smaller town along the beach so almost any hotel will be near enough, though I'd say the center to south end are most active in general, Margarita Village and Pappas & Beer are two of the more popular spots for young people.

The drinking age is 18 and this can be a very fun place for people who are respectful, sane and relatively sober, so I hope you avoid getting drunk or being with anyone who is liable to become drunk/obnoxious. Almost every horror story, I've heard of, coming out of this area has been the result of disrespectful / drunken disorder.

From Los Angeles take the I-5 south all the way to the Tijuana boarder. After crossing the border take the road, "Ensenada Cuota" which is the toll road. Rosarito Beach will be about thirty miles or so south. There are two toll stops, about $2.00 each, before reaching Rosarito. Take the second Rosarito exit off the toll road.

Tripadvisor has a decent Rosarito hotel search engine.

I have some Baja/Rosarito vacation links on my website too.
