Well I am no expert, but since you haven't got any replies, I can tell you that there are at least 2 trains an hour that go from Malmö to Copenhagen Kastrup. The train is very comfortable.

Hm Tartu, I wouldn't call the trains comfortable. Last week I had to stand from Malmö South to Copenhagen again for two days on the trot, packed like on the tube but with nothing to hold on to in the vestibule! Going back to Malmö last Friday was a nightmare - I couldn't even get ON the first train that stopped. But sure, if you avoid rush hour and the trains aren't delayed they are fine :)))
They run every 20 minutes for most of the day (just not 01.00-04.00).

Haha, I guess maybe compared to other Swedish trains they aren't comfortable. Maybe I shouldn't take my frame of reference from hard-seated benches on Estonian trains.....

I'll go for hard seats over NO seats any time :)))) Seriously though, it's not a bad connection when things run smoothly. The problem is that those trains are used for runs all the way to Gothenburg and so on too, which they're not made for as commuter trains.

Holla Santi...
what a pitty ... you will not see one of the nice things in the Oresund region. The boats were the best part of the crossing border ... unfortunately thei're gone.. I used to take them all the time (not just for the folklore of seeing bunches of sweedes carying boxes full of beer) but because it was a very nice trip. But of course nowadays the train (although not so charming) it is much more convenient (running all the time). Once you are there you can try the 2 days ticket including all the train trips around - you can combine Copenhagen, Malmo, Lund, Helsingborg, Helsingør, Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Karen Blixen house, and if you have time visit one of the nice megalithic places in Skåne.... You have just to choose. Saludos amigo António

Yes my colleagues who were there during the "boat era" still rant about it and how cosy it was as long as there weren't a snow storm (but then the trains stop too some times!).
Swedes carrying beer you can see on the train too. Come and join me every Friday afternoon as I return from work back to Sweden :))) Personally, I usually bring a bottle of whisky now and again rather than all that beer. I prefer Danish microbreweries to the stuff they sell at border shops.

now Charlotta talked about microbreweries ...
Santi, once in Copenhagen DON'T miss Bryggeriet Apollo. Take you shoes off (you will see why) drink the great beer and taste the traditional spare ribs.... just super and worth the price. skål António

I'm living in Malmo and have travelled to Copenhagen many times. Make sure you allow more time than you need as the train sometimes stop at places, for 20-30 minutes, for no obvious reason! They run approximately every 20 minutes from Malmo and as everything Swedish, are most of the time very "on time" leaving!

No they're NOT very on time leaving. I've not been on time to work once in two weeks. Never mind last Friday when it took me two hours from Kongens Nytorv to Malmö South :(
But never mind, I'm sure Redang already made it here since this was posted in May sometime. :)
