When I was last there a few years ago when Siem Reap was not so built up, Malaria while retaining a possibility, was not an issue. July is actually the wet season and generally not the breeding season for mozzies. They like hot & dry weather to breed.

Bring DEET-based insect repellent and wear long-sleeved, light colored shirts (and long pants) in the mornings and evenings, when mosquitoes feed. Very low risk around the Angkor area, but it is wise to take general precautions.
