I am looking into traveling to Ioannina next year with my family from Israel - I live in Burlington, VT. My Uncle is originally from Janina - he left when he was 5.
I would like to know the best time of year to go. Also are there places to rent (house/apt) for about a 2 week stay? Thanks, Laura |

The best time is naturally the summer, from June to September.
There a lot of Hotels you may stay, I usually stay in "DIONI" is cheap clean and in the middle of the city, close to the old Jewish quarter and synagogue. I would say that the best time to be in Ioannina is late spring (May) or September. In summer it could be very hot. (I lived there for the half of my life, I know).
