Ruinas Uxmal Good accommodation with safe restaurant near Uxmal

Traveling from Cancun in our rental car to see Uxmal will make a too long day and Sayil, Labdna...wouldn't be possible in the same day. The plan is to find a hotel for an overnight stay before returning to the already paid for all inclusive hotel we have in Cancun. This mom will be traveling with two daughters. My youngest daughter will have just finished a four month regimen of chemotherapy and will be taking a break before surgery and radiation treatment begins. She will be immunologically suppressed from the chemo. We need a place to stay overnight that maintains a very safe kitchen. We have traveled the area before and ate in cantinas.....but this time is different. She CANNOT get sick.

I had friends in a somewhat similar situation and they made it a point always to eat in kosher restaurants even though they're not Jewish. It might work for you if you don't have to eat at the hotel you are staying at. Just a thought. Hope you have a great trip. Best wishes, Lisa

Do you mean to stay overnight around Uxmal/Labda ?
I was heavily pregnant when we were there so I was keen to be clean! we stayed in the Club Med hotel which was very nice & VERY close to the ruins which possibly may be a good thing for you if your daughter is not up to full strength. We spent a day at Uxmal and then a day following the Puuc Route. We ate in the hotel because it was the easiet thing to do.
Have a wonderful time
