can anyone give me some information about the nightlife in nottingham i am planning a night out there on may 19th for mine and my mates bday and we are lookin for a wicked nite. are all the pubs and clubs in one main strip or are they scattered about?is the nightlife any good.

i would be grateful if anyone could email me with some more information and tell me of the best places to go and where they are please.

Depends what kind of night you're after really.
There's the Rock City 'complex' if you're after live bands and rock/goth.
Hockley area has lots and lots of bars and a couple of clubs, so I don't think you'll go wrong if you head down there.
There's lots more relaxed pubs but I don't think you'll be interested in a quiet night ;-)
There's a few good ones a bit out of the town if you're into drum & base and reggae.
There's a few more regular bars around streets off the town square for your townie types but there's a few good hidden ones too.

nottingham has got fantastic nightlife to suit everyone.
What kind of music do you and your friends like? There are lots of clubs for different tastes in music to suit you.
Theres Rock city, good for punk, rock and indie music.
There is Flares and Reflex for the cheesy music and you can dress up like the 70-80's.
Faces has dance/chart music etc. There are loads more clubs to choose from.

Then theres lace market which has lots of stylish bars and wine bars. St james's street has a few student bars where you can get bargain drinks.

Also there are hundreds of places to eat out if you all fancy a meal before you go drinking.
