Taba Is it safe right now?

Some israelis have told me there are Al-Qaeda terrorists in Sinai, Taba, etc. always trying to enter Israel, and that it's very dangerous to travel from Israel to Egypt by land. Is it that dangerous right now? I'm planning to go to Cairo from Eilat in about a month!

I think you will find youself to be much safer in Egypt than in Israel so do not worry. The only thing to be concerned about is road safety as that is not very good here.

Being in both Israel and Egypt I hail Swisssinai for his comment!!! The Middle East is also a place where people live and mostly in peace! No nead to fear terrorists behind every corner! The roads are much more of a threat, but aren't they in your place????

I completely agree with the 2 previous posts. only scare mongers would state this. many israelis still come down to the sinai. probably because it's safer down in the sinai. enjoy the trip.
