Florence to Menton

Hi, We are travelling to Switzerland,France and Italy in June/July and I'm trying to find out the best way to TRAIN TRAVEL. We will be starting train travel in Zurich travelling to Florence then Florence to Menton.
Does anyone know if a euro-rail pass covers this route or are seperate tickets a better way to go?? The internet sights are a little confusing or not active anymore!!
Thanks for any help with this.

hi
if its only zürich-firenze-menton you are doing by train then you will be better off buying point-to-point tickets then any pass. if you are planning to do more trips a pass offer may be a option. the fare for zürich-firenze-menton using day trains is about CHF 240.-- wich is about 150.-- Euro (this is full fare, 2nd class on day trains). tickets can be booked via www.sbb.ch (official page of the swiss federal railways). you can collect the tickets at any swiss station.
