I have viewded a few sites relating to Vatican City, and many say that they have their own post office, but none of the information gives a diagram, or states where exactly the post office is located. Has anyone done a tranaction,, or ever been into the post office.???

The Post Office is at the side of St Peter's Square (left-hand as you look at the Basilica). It is well-signed and easy to use. The Vatican postal service is efficient, and all my postcards arrived safely.

Yep, you will have no problem at all, facing St Peters it is on your right, not far from the Ladies toilets, (I hope that is information you need) and I too had no problems with my postcards reaching their destinations, which were quite a way, Australia.

I agree with Chrissy that the post office is right beside the toilets but as leics mentioned, it's on the LEFT side when you face the Basilica. Aside from that, the postal service also has an outlet inside the Vatican museum, located at the top of the giant spiral staircase that goes down to the museum's exit.

Just make sure that whatever you mail using their stamps, drop them at their mailboxes only and not outside the confines of Vatican City.

Well, you'll find it whether it's on
the right or the left. There were good
signs 10 years ago.

And my memory is pretty good at geography,
and if you are in the middle of the plaza
facing St. Peters, the post office is on
your left.

I wish this were the forum for telling you
a funny story, but it's not. You can have
a mild chuckly anyway, eh?
