Fortaleza Travel Forum

Hey everyone! I'm going to Fortaleza this May for about 3 weeks. I'm actualy planning to move here in the very near future. This is my third time in Fortaleza in only 6 months! My love is kitesurfing, so it's not surpising that Fortaleza is my choice of future residence, however since May is the "off" season for kitesurfing and all my surfing buddies are away to work I am travelling alone this time.

If there is anyone traveling alone who wants to get together give me a shout! Or if you feel like hanging out with a party animal from Norway! :o)

My Portuguese is improving and I get by, but my goal is to learn this demanding language perfectly before moving.

Hope to meet some samba lovers down there!!

I will be in Rio on May 25, 26, and 27. I will come to Forteleza for the first time for two short days on May 28 and May 29. I would love to meet you and have you show me around. For sure Van, but I'll be arriving late (around 20:00) in Fortaleza, so I probably wont be at Pirata untill around midnight. But if you have a telephone numeber so we can meet outside or something that would be great. Great to meet new people!

I trust you speak English then Van ;o) French are like portuguese, and don't speak english... in my experience anyway ;o))

Yes Guedes, I am from Stavanger, but no Theatre of Tragedy fan.. :o) Stavanger is the best city in the world for 2 months of the year, other than that it rains, rains, is very cold and rains....

Hey, sorry guys for not making it to Pirata tonight. My flight was delayed and also rerouted to Natal first!! Landed in Fortaleza midnight.. so tired as I was it was straight to bed!!

i was at Pirata yesterday and all i can say is : WOW!!! What a crazy place !!

Shame I couldn't make it either :/

Yeah, don't rub it in Van... I was so angry with TAP yesterday... but at least I will experience Pirata next Monday :o)

I've never been there, though. It may sound ironic, but it's the last place locals would think of going to, especially because it opens on Mondays only.

I'm sorry you couldn't go, Andreas, but I think that even if you had arrived earlier, you would be tired anyway. I hope you'll enjoy it next Monday, and maybe we can go somewhere another day, if you don't mind haning out with a non-party-monster. hehe.
