Not much to around Denarau at all. Catch a boat from the marina & head out to Castaway Island for the Day, Tour desk at resosrt can organise, and see the best of Fiji. The islands are great. There is a shopping complex being built at Denarau but not near completion . Best clothes shopping would be in the resorts boutiques. Lots of hotels in lthe area. For souveniers go into Nadi town - most resorts have a shuttle bus or get a taxi.

At the Shangri-La Fijian, there is a group of about 6 shops that are on the resort. These range from souvenier/clothing stores through to jewellery, a mini mart and a photography store.

The closest shopping is about 11kms away in the town of Sigatoka. Here there is a town market, along with souvenier shops and a supermarket. To get to Sigatoka, you can catch a taxi or possibly go with an organised shopping trip on a bus.

For walking, if you go straight out the resort over the causeway and over the main road, there is a track that goes up a hill to the water tower that feeds the resort. From here, the view over the island the resort is on is great for photos.

The island the resort is on is a good walk too (about 15-20 mins to go around).

Hope this helps.
