| Assisi | Nativity Scene through Doorway of Side Street Posted: Tue April 17, 2007 11:04 PM UTC
As I was walking downhill from the parking area in Assisi I looked through a doorway and found an enchanting nativity scene. It was an entire village with small signs in Italian. As I remember, it was on the way to the church of Saint Claire. We will be returning to Assisi in July and I would love to show this nativity scene to my family. Does any one know the name of the street it is on? Thank you.

I don't remember the name of the street but I do know that I came across it while following a suggested walking tour in the Rick Steves guide to Italy. So buying or borrowing a copy of that might be an option if no-one here can tell you. (I don't have the book here as I borrowed it for the day from my hotel in Rome - sorry!)
