Hi! I will be visting Siam Reap/Angkor Wat in mid July with my family. Is there anything I have to be aware? especially when there are children coming alone. Please advise as this is also my first trip to Angkor Wat. Thanks

There are dozens of tips about Angkor Wat - and visiting Siem Reap - including the warnings and tourist traps. Have a read, and come back with any questions. Depends on the age of your children - I took mine a few years ago, and they had a ball. But, they were 18,16 and 14 at the time.

HI!
Just a note to share that there are lots of climbing to do, on some rather steep steps at some point....so for young kids, you'll have to take extra care they do not slip.

The steps are quite steep and its tiring. There may be some temples more difficult to access, with regard to climbing to the top etc. with the little ones. However, I'm sure you'll still have a wonderful time. This kids will undoubtedly be magnets for the children who hang around the temples selling things.

definitely be careful with young kids. As others have mentioned, there are very steep steps and climbing over a lot of loose debris or, uneven stones can be treacherous, even for an adult.
Also, I found Angkor Wat so "involved" as far as historical and the wow factor - but I believe, maybe too much too soon for such a young age. Without comprehending what they're seeing, they will not appreciate and they may become bored as there is a lot of walking, very hot and humid and can be quite crowded.
