450 baht no way! more like 1400 baht in Hua Hin for a small room with aircon.

Hua Hin is mostly full of older scandavian couples and is very expensive. Great for couples but a single? Why Hua Hin? Phuket would be better IMHO

You are not going to find air con for B 450 on the beach, you will find fan cooled rooms and bungalows in the Takiab area probably around that, but for air con cottages/cabins in that area expect to pay about B 750-800, take the Songthaew to Khao Takiab and walk from there, try Lunar Huts or the small bungalows at Takiab Resort just past Bluewave.
