worth the trip

Is it worth going to this city? Many reviews say it is not a beautiful destination but a overdeveloped tourist trap. Can someone please give me an insight to this?

I personally think that there are better places to go around as fuengirola, Benalmadena old town or Mijas (Nerja or frigiliana on the other side). I think it is a good destination to stay (cheap accomodation and good transport around) and use it as base for travelling around (train and bus) but not for a day excursion visit. But as I said thats my personal opinion

what city are you talking about...barcelona? If so, it's wonderful there. You won't need more than about 3 days to see all the main touristy sites in the centre, but I thought it was outstanding.
