can someone describe the girlie bars and is it usually men with money who go to them thanks.... Annette

Annette, most girlie bars are basically hostest bars, they have bikini clad dancers, gro's (guest relation officers), short skirted waitresses and Mamasans. The bars offer ALL there " girls " to any customer who want's them. Usually the men buy the girls " ladies drinks " in return for there company (conversation). The girls can be taken out of the bar if the gentlemen pay a " bar fine ", about $20 US dollars. After they leave the bar they can go anywhere the two choose to go.... out to eat, dancing, hotel etc, it's mutually agreed b4 hand what is to take place for the night. Most men who go there are tourists, expat's, guys on foreign business etc. Most local Filipino men can't afford the drinks and bar fines. It actually cheap if your bringing in foreign currency (US dollar, British pound, Euro, etc) as the exchange rate greatly benefits the foreigner. I doubt though that your bf would prefer a hooker over you.

The red light district in Manila is tamer compared to Bangkok or other Asian cities, which is actually a good thing.

My best advice for you is this: It takes two to tango. If your bf will cheat on you, he will cheat on you even if you cover him with your skirt. Even if a gazillion beauty queens throw their arms and legs all over your bf, if your man is loyal to you, then it won't be a future problem for you.

Filipinas have better things to do than attend to one tourist. You should know better.

and has told me the girls are gorgeous!!!...he said he's in heaven when in the girlie clubs.....it makes me sick to the core....thinking about it...

Been to many of these bars all over Manila. What exactly do you want to know? Kind of like strip bars in North America but you can take the girl home with you for the night. Do you alot of money? Some of them like the ones in Makati can be quite expensive...easily spend up to $200 a night by the time you pay for her drinks, pay the bar manager to take her home, and then give her money the next day. Other bars are cheaper of course...depends on how pretty you would like the girl of course. I mean, its sad to say but its a very poor country and you can take a girl home anywhere in Manila for little money.
