Ko Chang Weather in August
Posted: Sun April 15, 2007 05:06 PM UTC
I have always wanted to visit Ko chang but can only get there in August which I understand is the wet season. Is it worth visiting then? We dont mind some rain showers as long as the sun appears in between! How busy would the island be then, don't fancy being the only ones in the resorts!

Hi,
It's worth visiting if you're prepared for some rain. Indeed the waterfalls and flora are at their best at this time. You'd be unlucky to have rain every day all day. Some resorts, bars and restaurants will be closed at this time, but those that are open will have rooms for you, and of course their rates will be lower than in the high season. The resorts wont be empty. Very few of the boat trips are running (if any). The sea is rougher too at this time. You can see the weather now by looking through our webcam on Klong Prao beach. www.cocodeebokohchang.com/webcam .
