My American boyfriend went to Manila to visit a friend. Everyone is telling me that the Manila women are going to be throwing themselves at him. Is it really that way there? Will the women be all over him. thank you for answers..annette

You mean just because a guy's American, women here will go on a frenzy over him?? I'm sure our ladies would feel insulted by such an assumption.

More often than not, it's the American guys who fall for our ladies.

If your bf goes to hang out at the girlie bars, it could happen. But generally, no. But if your guy looks like Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt, then that's a different story.

Girlie Bars??

Do you mean GO-GO bars? You can find GO-GO bars in New York City, Boston, LA, SFO, London, Hamburg, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Spain - lots and lots of places! These bars are not unique to the Philippines!

What does your boyfriend do when he is back home? Keep in mind that there is no obligation to take any girl home from a bar. I would guess that over 98% of the men who have a beer or two in a GO-GO bar DON'T go home with any girls if they have money or not!

If you know through past experience that your boyfriend is a skunk back home then there is a good chance that he will probably be a "stinker" in Manila! (Unless he is a seminary student!)

You're right, we had a bunch of them near my part of the country in the Boston U.S.A. region. (Anyway those seminary students and graduates mostly preferred little boys!)

to poster, if your boyfriend is hugh jackman maybe the filipinas will be fighting among themselves to get a pic taken with him.

Rest assured that women here will NOT throw themselves at your boyfriend simply because he's American...unless he's hanging out with the wrong type of women. And by this I mean the kind that require payment for their services... Just keep him away from the girlie bars and you should be fine.
