I had not noticed how quiet the Hua Hin Forum is here, I had not come across it for such a long time, I hope we can get more forum questions and answers going for Hua Hin.

My husband and I are in our mid fifities but we do like live music, nice bars and good food to enjoy in the evening, We are coming to Hua Hin in July. Will we find enough evening entertainment to enjoy during our two weeks.
Also some are reporting that it is expensive in Hua Hin. How do prices compare to Patong Beach?

I cannot imagine why anyone would think it could be more expensive than Patong ! Drink prices in the bars are certainly cheaper in Hua Hin, I can have a cocktail from 80 or 100 Baht, a beer ranges around 50 Baht, night market prices in Hua Hin are low, in particular at the weekend night at Grand Plaza. Hua Hin caters for the majority of visitors who are Thai and that means prices have to be compatatble.
Certainly tuk tuks are cheap in Hua Hin compared to Patong, also there is good public transport available from pick up buses that are 10 baht a journey, so on that score also a great deal cheaper. Accommodation I think is also good value.

You won't kthough of the subject of nightlife find anything like Patong's Soi bangla in Hua Hin ! There are several sois with bars, plenty of restaurants and several places with live music like the Hua hin Brewery at the Hilton hotel, disco pub at the City Beach and some cabaret style shows.
