Reykjavík Region New Years Eve - worth it?
Posted: Sat April 14, 2007 04:15 PM UTC
We are considering a trip to Reykjavik for New Years Eve. We've heard it's a lot of fun. Now, I do not like cold weather. Normally vacations for me include palm trees. But I would love to see Reykjavik as I've heard it's wonderful. Is new years really great for New Years? How miserable is the weather then?

iceland is great, reykjavik is a party town, enjoy! being surrounded by an ocean, winters are mild, but of course no palms, so it totaly depends on what you consider cold. when i lived there, iceland beat spain in temperature during a couple of days in december, the temperature being 10ish. but i guess a more common december temperature would be around 0. don't worry too much about it and take the opportunity to buy a traditional knitted wool sweater to feel cosy in.
