i am thinking of booking a flight with qatar airlines from london to bangkok with a stop-over at doha airport.has anyone used qatar recently for this route, and if so,what did you think of flight. ive read that the customs etc can be chaotic at times.also is there a bar at the airport? cheers.

Check out www.airlinequality.com/Forum . Then look for Qatar airlines. The people on that discussion group really like both Qatar Airlines and the terminal there. And Qatar Airlines is one of only 5 airlines given a 5-star rating by this website.

Qatar airways is quite nice. Doha airport is small and manageable. Don't remember seeing a bar in the aiport. There are some cafes and food outlets. But perhaps the Oryx lounge for Qatar Airways would have a bar.
