I have an 11 hour layover (1pm -12am)and I have a few questions
I'm arriving via phillipean airlines from vietnam and travelling to korea, via Korean airlines.
I arrive terminal 2 and depart terminal 1

1) do I need to pick up my luggage or are my bags checked all the way through?
2) how do I get to terminal 1 from terminal 2
3) is there a close hotel near terminal 1 or 2 for a day stay?
4) Is there anything I should worry about? I've heard many things about exthorsion, people stealing from luggage etc...
5) What are your general recommendations? I'm just looking to stay at the hotel then check back in for my flight at teminal 1 for 12am.

Please help my flight is tomorrow...

Hi! Since you will be taking the same airline, I dont think you have to claim and re-check your luggages, Your best bet is to ask the flight attendant on board, Im sure they would be more than happy to answer all your inquiries. There are several hotels along Roxas Blvd or in Makati depending on your budget and 5 star hotels can also provide you a shuttle going to the airport. Hope you will enjoy your stay in Manila.

From Vietnam its phillipean airlines then to Korea (11 hours later) its Korean airlines..

11 hour layover? you have to take out your baggage as soon as you arrive in manila and have it re-check in when you depart at terminal 1 for Korean airlines. the nearest hotel and the cheapest hotel near the airport is the AIRPORT hotel. This is just beside Kentucky Fried Chicken near the airport. You can take a cab from your hotel to Terminal 1 for your flight on Korean Airlines. Worrying about your baggage? Well, I think, the case of pilferage exists practically in all airports worldwide and not only in the philippines. I highly recommend to lock your baggage whenever you travel and if there are any discrepancies on your baggage or any signs of pilferage, report it immediately to the airline concerned. you can surely get a claim if pilferage is established. A daytrip in Manila? well, I suggest that you try to visit Intramuros also known as the WALLED CITY and have a walk/watch the sunset at Manila BAY. Have a nice daytrip in Manila!
