Manila Makati Hotel
Posted: Sat April 7, 2007 08:34 PM UTC
I'd like to know if it would be possible to get a decent hotel in the makati area for less than 5,000 pesos a night, and if so, is it possible to get a room at around 12 am. (my flight arrives at around 1130 pm). And if not in Makati, where is a place in that proximity that i could find?

hotels (intercon, dusit, shangrila, manila penninsula, oakwood and new world) around the vicinity of ayala center should be at that range (give or take a bit more)

if you want something cheaper, go a bit farther at the makati ave/jupiter area (city garden, ceo suites, jupiter arms) or pasay road (tower inn) area where hotels are at around half of your budget. <sorry not too familiar about hotels in this area>

there's no company i know of that rents mobile. cheapest gsm mobile phone here is less than 2k pesos

Are you male or female? Here are a couple hotels in the Ermita area, there are some bars around so if you are offended then perhaps another neighborhood will do.

On Mabini Street you can check out the Lotus Garden and the Citystate Tower Hotel.

Lotus Garden www.citygardenhotels.com
Reservations email is lotusreservations@citygarden.com.

Citystate Tower Hotel www.citystatetowerhotel.com.ph
Reservations email is cth@citystatetowerhotel.com.ph

Both places are less than your budget. Hotels have A/C, TV, HW, private bath/toilet, safety box storage, free breakfast and normal clean up.

A hotel not close to bars but with easy access to the mall and restaurants and MRT is the
Tropicana Apartment Hotel on Luis Maria Guerrero St.

www.tropicana-apt-hotel.com.

Up to you!

Lots of hotels in that area for 5000 pesos. I assume you are not booking with a credit card because if you did they would of course hold it for you until 12am. My favourite hotel in Manila is the Manila Hotel but its not in Makati.
