| Coimbra | Quick (very quick) stop in Coimbra Posted: Sat April 7, 2007 11:46 AM UTC
I was thinking that it would be nice to get a very quick peek in Coimbra, getting off the train on the way to Porto from Lisbon and then hopping on again. If we want to just take a quick look at the churches, university, etc., would two hours, maybe three, be enough? I know we won't get a great overview or anything, but we don't have much time in Porto so we can't stay too long.
What could be done in two hours in the town? Thanks! |

Well, Coimbra is not a big town, but I think you should stay there at least four or five hours.
Ciao!

If you just walk and look around you can view the Old Town sights: University, Old and New Cathedrals, in about 2 hours, 3 is better. Use buses rather than the train, as the bus station is near the center and the train station is not.
