Yellowstone National Park Need Advice for Yellowstone and Grand Teton
Posted: Fri April 6, 2007 10:38 PM UTC
Hi there!!!
We r planning to fly to Salt Lake city and then drive to Grand Teton spend two days there and then drive to Yellowstone and spend 3 days there. Can anybody guide for the cheap accomadation for 4 adults.....We r ready to stay within 50 miles radius......Since Yellowstone is very big. Do you think in order to see whole park we will have to change lodging? and i hope 3 days are ok for it..one last question how much snow i can expect on Grand Teton Mountains.....any suggesations related to lodging or anything to make our trip worth would be great .....Thanks in Advance

I wento to both parks last yearŽin July. Don't know when you expect to go, but inside the park lodging is not cheap. We stayed inside the Tetons (at Jackson lake Lodge) but at Yellowstone we weren't that lucky. The park is big and preferably stay in a couple of places.
The cheapest will probably be staying at Jackson Hole, to visit the Tetons. In West Yellowstone there's a wider choice and therefore more affordable rooms. Travel times are always unsure because of traffic, especially when animals are around and people stop all the time even when there's only one lane and no parking bays.
The places we stood at costed around 200 USD, cannot be considered cheap...

We also drove from Salt Lake, after visiting Temple Square.
