We need help with our itinerary from Guilin to Lhasa. Would you suggest stopping in Kunmin or Chengdu for a day? Which city is more desirable? We are two adults and two 18 year old boys- all experienced travelers. Thank you.

There's no train running between Kunming and Lhasa,and only 1 flight available daily, you may have more choices if you stop over in Chengdu.

Chengdu is an old city and provincial capital of the most populous provine in the whole of China, besides being the gateway to Tibet.

there have a train from Chengdu to Lhasa and the time table is
station Chengdu Guangyuan Baoji Lanzhou Xining Geermu Naqv Lhasa time 18:18 23:20 8:02 13:48 4:18 14:24 14:24 18:28 I hope you can take that train

the number of that train is T22/3
