Hello everybody here on this forum,

I would like to know something more about the distance between mall of asia and malate...

I'm staying at the Orchid Garden Hotel in Malate and i would like to visit Mall of Asia.

Should i walk or take a cab? And how much will it cost if i take a cab?

I hope somebody can help me out, cause i couldn't find any usefull information on other sites.

PS: sorry if my words aren't correctly spelled, english is not my first language, hope you won't mind hehe

The distance is about 6-8 kms, depending on what part of Malate you're coming from. If your hotel does not provide a free shuttle service to the mall then I suggest you take a cab which would should cost you about 100-150 pesos in the absence of traffic.

p.s.: your English is quite good.

I would guess you're going to MOA on some kind of business or shopping spree, so a cab would be the best option, and I agree with joy, it should not fetch a hundred pesos.

You might be interested to know though that during the recently held Pyro Olympics, my friends and I took a stroll from the mall all the way to the Baywalk area while our driver negotiated the traffic jam We arrived there ahead and were already happily drinking when dear driver reached us! But that was a festival - and a great crowd-drawer.

Baywalk is way past Vito Cruz (ok, P. Ocampo St) where your hotel is.

Oh, if thats about 8kms or so, I must have under-estimated my physical abilities! I enjoyed the walk! Just don't do this when the sun is still up (I guess)!

another alternative, from Orchid Garden, walk until the LRT station. Take the train untill EDSA station, get off, and ride the "orange" cars. It goes directly to MOA. LRT is only 12pesos, "orange" car is only 7.50, I think. so everytthing's maybe 20pesos. but taking a taxi will be less hassle, though.
