Can anyone tell me if there is an ATM Cash Point in Side. I went onto a website and one guy says there are very few in Turkey, though I feel its hard to believe. I presume he spent most of his time in the outer regions. I apologise if this seems a silly question. Thanks Christine

ATMs are very few in Turkey? It depends on where that guy is coming from... If the place he comes from is full of ATMs such like 2 ATM in his toilet, 100 ATMs on the way of his grocery; the answer is YES. There are not that much ATMs in Turkey as that guys have in his city.
No worries, you will not be in trouble in Turkey about ATMs. There are good enough...

Christine, only places you will meet problem in NOT finding an ATM in Turkey is places who are far from tourist places and very small villages (just as it is with ATM's in other industrial countries).
Since I started to use plastic cards in early/mid 90s I have never had problem in finding an ATM while in Turkey :) The only problem I had in mid/late 90s was with my AmEx card BUT that was(still is?) because AmEx could only be used in one bank branch and not in all (all over the world - one branch per country).

I think that your friend makes you a joke or he is not travelling enough in Turkiye.Be sure that you will find many ATM cash point machines in Side good luck
