From cebu city how do i get to balanghai hotel at butuan city?

there are i think more than 20 green taxis in butuan city now...if you're coming from the airport you won't see one....there are vans there..normally they charge php200/pax to get you city proper...you might want to negotiate w/ them & pay extra to bring you to balanghai hotel...if you're coming from the pier...then you have to ride a jeepney or wait for a taxi to come...which is so seldom in that place....


note: you might consider trying one of the hotels @ the city proper...dotties place is nice...it will cost you not more than php2t/night

Not the easiest of places to get to from Cebu. I don't think there are any more flights-- crazy suspending those.

So the only other way is by ship. Leaves about 7pm but not exactly sure on what days. Takes about 10 to 12 hours. You will arrive at Nasipit which is a fair way out of Butuan. Expect to be hassled by one and all. I guess the best way is to follow the herd and take a jeepney. Takes about 25 mins depending if the driver is a mad man or not (they usually are!)

You can get dropped off at the bus station and then best to take a tricycle form there.

The Balanghai is a pretty ropey hotel and not in the best of places. Don't go to Dotties Place-- it has always been empty and soleless whenever I have been there.

The best place to stay is definitely the Almont Inland Resort. You will not regret staying there. Also well situated for what butuan has to offer.

yes doofus is right... that there is no flights availability from Cebu going to Butuan. To get to Butuan from Cebu is by ship with a daily schedule 7 pm arrives in butuan by 7 am particularly in Nasipit... Now, from Nasipit to Balanghai Hotel you can ride a taxi or Jeepney but i suggest a taxi cuz taxi could get you to your destination safely and comfortable. By jeepney? hmmm you might confuse the routing destinations of Jeepney from Nasipit to Butuan.

Balangay Festival is the Fiesta Celebration here in Butuan City, there are some activities around the city... as i am living here in butuan city i got an infos that Dotties Place has a big event before the day of Fiesta that is on May 18. There would be a 2 celebrities from Manila they are Katrina Jalele one of the sexiest FHM cover this year and Piola Ravales the show is sort like a modelling / fashion show.
