Is it worth it to join some day tours while visitng CH? or is it pretty easy to go around by yourself?
And does anyone know anything about Cameron Highlands Resort?? It looks beautiful (eventhought quite expensive). I read somewhere that says it's a bit out of the way. How easy is it to get around CH during the day and during the night?

CH Resorts has a golf course infront of it. If you just wanted to getting around CH, you can actually consider Strawberry Park Resort or the Equatorial Hotel.

Strawberry Park Resort has different apartments that you can choose. Eventhought the rooms in old patterns but quite comfortable. They have package for touring.

Equatorial Hotel is in the peak of Cameron Highlands. Very windy. They have package for touring too.

Must have your dinner at one of the steamboat restaurant at Brinchang town...excellent..!

Hi

If you are not driving, you can take the public buses. The terminal is located in Tanah Rata township. Provided you have alot of time to spare, you would be required to wait (sometimes 15 minutes or more) for the buses that take you to Boh Tea Plantation, Kampong Raja (vegetables farm), Brinchang township and other destinations (get info at the terminal).

T-Cafe (Tanah Rata) serves delicious scones and a variety of teas. You might want to visit the Pasar Malam at Brinchang (check with the folks on the days of operation. I remember it being on weekends). The stalls sell delicious seafood fritters and snacks, loads of other household items, fresh vegetables, etc.

There are budget hotels at Tanah Rata, e.g. The Oriental. It operates a restaurant too. A room with a single and queen-sized beds costs RM50. Clean and good enough, but check the showers for warm water that flows and not trickle.

Happy Holiday!

Cameron Highland Resort is not out of the way. Its along the main road between Brinchang and Tanah Rata, provided you drive. Otherwise, stay close to town. But none of that standard in either towns. Hv fun!
