Re: Rugby World Cup- accomodation (14th- 17th Sept) Posted: Tue April 3, 2007 10:51 AM UTC
Hi - I live in Cardiff so will help as best I can! Accommodation is an absolute nightmare when there are games on in the stadium as I have experienced when trying to find places for friends to stay. If you don't mind travelling in on the bus (10 min journey) there is a great little hotel where my parents have stayed before called the Innkeeper's Lodge (Innkeeper's Lodge Cardiff, Tyn-y-Parc Road, Whitchurch, Cardiff, CF14 6BG Tel: 0845 11 26 080). They do good deals and might have availability. It's pretty hard to find cheap accommodation city centre during match times but there are loads of B&B's along Cathedral Road and Richmond Road you could try, both are walking distance to the stadium. Only problem is that most of them probably won't have info on the internet cos they're all quite small. I'm pretty sure the uni don't do accommodation, especially as it's term time in September.
If I have any brainwaves about it I'll get back to you.
Good luck (pob luc)!
