Hi Mark,
You will not be disappointed!! Abruzzo is very beautiful, lots to see and do especially if you like walking. You will not be disappointed with the food either it is wonderful! I am veggie too and it is very easy to eat vegetarian in Italy there are so many pasta dishes with just vegetables as well as soup, pizza and of course lots of freshly grown vegetables.
