hey u guys..
im planing to visit baku in a couple of weeks.. i love clubbing n i wanted to know a few names of popular clubs in baku... n wanted to ask about the drinks.. what do they usually serve and are there any age requirements to be able to drink?

Maybe it would be ok for u for instance Club 1033 that is located by Hyatt Regency Hotel, or at Europa hotel?

there are plenty of clubs around - walk through the streets around nizami and fountain square and you'll find some. key club is one i often end up at though i don't like it.

drinks served are what you'd expect, though remember that imported stuff is always more expensive. local vodka is dirt cheap. russian vodka is still cheaper than beer. the local beer is xirdalan, and isn't too bad, though efes (turkish) is also served everywhere and tastes much better.

also, be wary that the majority of girls (almost all) in clubs late at night will be prostitutes. even if they act coy, and spend time with you chatting or dancing, there's still a decent chance that they're hookers. i have even be told by one guy of a "suprise prostitute" he met in a club, who only told him she was a prostitute in the morning. so be warned.

I have been in different restaurants in Baku...But if you are just in the centre, on Fountain Square and want to taste good and cheap kabab, made from fresh meat and given in big portion - you have to go to Nargiz Restaurant. It is made in very interesting midlevel decor.

Favorite Dish: The kabab from Fish is very delicious!!!
