Pulau Perhentian Besar Travel Forum

HI everyone ;) I'm planning to go to Perhentian Besar this early May, does anyone know if it's a good time (in terms of weather condition etc) to visit there?
Also, I'd like to go diving but I actually have ZERO experience. I know they offer open dive course but I don't think I'll have enough time for that. Is it still possible to go diving with an instructor when you have no experience at all? I found some deals in the various hotels on this island (the ones that have been mentioned in this forum) and they seem to offer some pretty good packages with accomodations and diving/snokelling acitivities, do you guys think they are worth the price? And if anyone knows of any good deals out there, please let me know :)

Hi. May is the best weather around but also will be quite crowded. There's a Diving Introduction where you will dive with the dive master but will be around RM 150 per dive. I am not sure about the amount of time you can dive this way. If you enjoy diving, why don't you take the open water cert? Just will take around 5 days. Enjoy.

Unfortunately I'll probably only have 4 days in PI, and I don't want to be consummed by diving, kinda of want to do other fun things also!

May is actually peak season due to the school holidays. Make sure you book your accommodation fast as most of the chalets and resorts will be full.

actually open water dive course just take around 3-4 days only. im sure u enjoy with the lesson coz u can stay and live with island lifestyele there.
