Hi. I want to travel from Siena to Rome by bus mid June, is it advisible to book ahead? Or are there a lot of buses every day that I will have no problem just catching one when I want?

i don't think it's necessary to book in advance your bus; also note that you may even take the train changing in Chiusi (about 3 hours) or you can take the bus to firenze and then take the eurostar to rome which takes about 1h 35m

You can take a bus directly to Rome. Check this website for more information.
http://www.sena.it Unless things have changed in the last 10 years, you do not have to book in advance. You just go to the bus stop and buy your ticket.
