Hello, my wife and I are travelling to Italy in September for our Honeymoon, and we will be in Livorno for 6 nights. We would really appreciate any tips you all may have on the area, as this will be our first trip to Italy. Any info on train travel and approximate prices would be much appreciated.

You can find train schedules and prices on www.trenitalia.com. Click the blue English box on the top right. You can only purchase tickets 60 days out - so to more easily get an idea of costs, choose an earlier date, then click on the shopping cart.

When choosing a rate, choose standard. Most of the other rates require that you live in Italy.

Sometimes there are specials - promos. For example, last week, we used a special "two for the price of one" on the high speed Rome to Naples train.

In general second class is fine.
