I'm travelling to Italy in September, by myself, to do genealogy research. This is only my third trip out of the country, & I've never been on my own before without being met by someone on the other end. I live in the US, & I'm a little lost, so I'm looking for assistance. I don't speak Italian either.
My ultimate destination is segromigno in piano, & was thinking finding accomodations in Lucca would be best. Would this be correct? Would the best place to fly in be Pisa? Is there public transportation that will get me from the airport, to Lucca, & to Segromigno? I'm feeling slightly overwhelmed about now searching online for airfare & accomodations. My only real want would be internet access as far as the hotel goes. Would appreciate any & all assistance. Donna |

Hi Donna, I'll be in Lucca approx sept 11-14 also doing alittle genealogy before I take a bike tour through Tuscany. my email is tracie.villarreal@dhl.com I've been to ITaly but this is my first trip to Lucca. My family is from Lucca, Capannori, Segromigno and San Gennaro. Maybe we can meet up!
