| Liverpool | Liverpool/Ireland ferries Posted: Thu March 29, 2007 10:36 PM UTC
I will be in Liverpool in May and plan to spend a few days in Ireland. I am thinking of crossing over by ferry, but want to avoid the relatively long train trip to Holyhead. What are the possibilities from Liverpool/Birkenhead for walk-on passengers?
Thanks for your help. Richard |

If you want a shorter journey it may be worth considering flying? Ryanair flies to Dublin, Easyjet to Belfast from Liverpool airport.

Thank you for the quick replies. Astonishing but true, flying is cheaper (also faster and more frequent) than the relatively short ferry trip. Certainly makes neither economical nor ecological sense.... I will fly.
