Hi!
We're travelling to Como in May but landing in Bergamo. Our flight has just been put back in time to land at 21.35. Can anyone please tell me what is the best way to travel from Bergamo to Como? I have paid up front for the hotel in Como. Should we book train/bus fares in advance, if so where? Thanks for any suggestions!

From this site http://villaolmo.mib.infn.it/How_to-reach.htm

From Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport (http://www.sacbo.it/)

A) You can reach Bergamo railway station by bus (ZANI line) from the airport. The bus stops at bus stop no. 12 at the nearby bus station.

From Monday to Saturday: 40 daily trips from 06:20 to 00:20
Sunday: 27 daily trips from 7:40 to 00:00.

From the Bergamo railway station, catch a train to Como (check the http://www.trenitalia.com/ website)

B) Taxi from Bergamo – Orio al Serio airport to Como (approx. 1.30 h.; please ask the fare to the taxi-driver before leaving!).

i got a quote from bergamo to como (lezzano ) of 150 euros,in the end we hired a car and drove up to varenna then got the ferry across to bellagio (about 6 euro)then to lezzano.the roads around como are quite scary for drivers from the uk as coaches tend to appear round bends and there are a lot of sudden drops etc (see"the italian job " film for reference)its about 1hr to 1 hr30 depending on traffic, good luck
